In the Gate Building
Home to many of our rescued
reptiles! Donate today
and help us help neglected reptiles.
Most of the animals
inside the gate building are rescues from people who could no longer take
care of them or were taken
from their owners because of neglect and abuse.
Help us help neglected and abused animals today!

Burmese Pythons,
we currently have a three
large pythons. "Banana" the beautiful albino female and "Zena" the
boy.
"Sunny" is a new albino python that was found severely underweight and has
suffered tremendous abuse...she is missing a large portion of her tongue and
had severe scale rot! All of these snakes are now doing well and "Sunny"
is almost completely healed!

Sulcata Tortoise,
"Sid"
and "Ginger" are new additions to the Promised Land Family. He had outgrown his
previous owners and they could no longer take care of him! Sid can be
found in the petting zoo when the weather is warm enough for him to graze.
He's only 20 pounds right now, but will reach over 100 pounds in the future. Sulcata tortoises are the third largest tortoise in the world!
Reticulated Python,
"Randall" has a bad attitude, but is in good hands now. This recently
hatched python was rescued after being severely underweight. He is very
aggressive and will prove to be a challenge as he can reach a length of around
30 feet!
Iguana, "Callista" is a large
female iguana that loves car rides and children. She will close her eyes
when you pet her and beg for more attention.
American Alligator, "Tater" is a
recent addition to our reptile family. After months of not eating he has
finally given into being fed with a fork! Tater is only about two years
old and is growing very rapidly. Come see Tater lounging in his basking
lamp or swimming in his pool. We got "Tater" from a local animal control
officer. This gator had been left to die in a basement and was not eating.
It was either he be destroyed or we give him a home.
Prairie Dogs, "Chuck"and "Bullet" enjoy digging in their dirt bottom cage and eating peanuts from the
keepers. These little lovable guys are very friendly and love to be held,
so long as its not mating season.
Sugar Gliders, "Mika" and
"Gizmo" just finished raising their first litter of young. They are
nocturnal marsupials from Australia. You might be lucky enough to catch a
glimpse of these adorable creatures during the daylight hours.
Giant Bunnies, are
frequently available to pet or purchase in the gate building. These are
possibly the sweetest rabbits on earth! And smart too. |
